Source Water Protection Committee looking for members

Do you have an interest in protecting water quality and quantity in your community?

Victoria County Water Utility is refreshing its Source Water Protection Committees and is looking for four representatives (total) from Dingwall, Neil’s Harbour, Ingonish and Little Narrows to join the working group. Source Water Protection Committee members include Water Utility staff, Public Works, and the four community representatives.

Ideally, as a community rep, you’d have a passion for the environment, clean drinking water and a broad understanding of the watershed activity. These are volunteer positions and meetings are yearly. The first meeting scheduled is for Spring 2024.

If this opportunity interests you, please email greg.weir@victoriacounty.ca with the subject “SWPP” Committee”.
