Pamela’s B and B

Pamela’s B&B is located in a beautifully restored home on the magnificent Cabot Trail in the Cape Breton Island region of Nova Scotia. Nestled in the small village of North River Bridge, at the beginning and end of the picturesque Cabot Trail, we are an ideal location from which to make day trips around the area.

A short 25-minute trip away is the Alexander Graham Bell Historic Site, where exhibits and artifacts help illuminate the life of the man best known for inventing the telephone. Also visit Beinn Bhreagh, his summer home in nearby Baddeck, maintained by Bell’s descendants. Also in Baddeck is Bell Bay Golf Club, Bell Bay sitting high above Cape Breton’s inland sea, the Bras d’Or Lakes, offering panoramic views from virtually every hole. Visit the many boutiques and gift shops nearby, or visit St. Ann’s Bay for a weekly ceilidh. Mere minutes away from the bed and breakfast guests can fish, go kayaking, or travel to North River to hike along the highest falls in Nova Scotia. Just ten minutes away is The Gaelic College (A’ Cholaisde Ghàidhlig), a school devoted to the study and preservation of the Gaelic language and Celtic arts and culture. It is the only institution of its kind in North America.

Our accommodations include two rooms (Double bed, Queen-sized bed) with shared 4-piece bath. Each room is equipped with a ceiling fan and a cot is available. Delicious full breakfast is served in the formal dining room by the fireplace between 7 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Relax and enjoy quiet conversation in the common living room. There is a phone available for guests’ use. Visa and MasterCard are accepted.
