Pink Bins Suspended

April 26, 2022

Victoria County will no longer accept clothing and textiles in Pink Bins at our recycling depots in Baddeck and New Haven.

The Pink Bins offered residents with an option to donate old clothing, draperies, bedding, stuffed toys, towels and shoes in support of charities. It also helped divert waste from our landfills. The program was administered by a third-party organization that is no longer collecting these items. Therefore, we must suspend the program, effective immediately.

If you have clothing or textiles to donate you can use other donation bins located in our communities or bring them to a local thrift store. To find a donation bin near you, visit the Diabetes Association and enter your address.
