The Municipality of the County of Victoria provides our residents with first class service in a polite, efficient, and economical manner.

Waste Collection: The County provides curbside collection of household waste each week and this waste is divided by the homeowner into three streams - recyclables material, compost material and waste. For information on waste collection call 1-877-510-5999 or 902-295-2117.

Water Utilities: The Municipality of the County of Victoria operates public water utilities in the communities of Little Narrows, Ingonish, Neil's Harbour/New Haven and Dingwall. 

Recreation: Victoria County Tourism promotes visitor services within the County as well as all Cape Breton Island. Broadband capacity within the County has been developed by the Broadband Committee to enhance the value and level of service provided by this infrastructure. Victoria County provides financial assistance for community recreation groups.

Policing: Victoria County provides over one million dollars to the RCMP within the County for the detachments at Ingonish Beach and Baddeck.

Victoria County contributes to many other organizations and services within our borders including the Cape Breton-Victoria Regional School Board, our many Volunteer Fire Departments, Cape Breton Island Housing Authority and Rest Homes.

The current budget for Victoria County is $11,000,000.00.
