Ukrainian Refugee Support Survey

Posted on:
April 12, 2022

On April 11, 2022, the Ukrainian flag was raised at our Baddeck Courthouse office to express our solidarity with Ukraine. In attendance were council members and staff.

Victoria County and Saint Ann’s Bay Development Association (SABDA) are launching a survey for county residents to express their interest in providing support for Ukrainian refugees relocating to Cape Breton Island.

Residents who are interested in providing support to refugees are encouraged to fill out the survey. The survey consists of three short sections to collect the following information:

  1. Type of support you are interest in providing
  2. An opportunity to expand on how you are equipped to provide the support
  3. Your contact information

The intent of the survey is to get a better idea of how much support is available and what types of support might be available. Completing the survey is an expression of interest, not a commitment. You will be contacted further should we have an opportunity to organize support efforts in the event we see refugees coming into our communities.
