Water/Wastewater Operator

The Municipality of the County of Victoria is requesting applications for the full-time position of Water/Wastewater Operator.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance and compliance of the Municipality’s water and wastewater facilities.  The successful applicant will work in a team environment, alongside other operators, and contractors to ensure proper operation of the Municipal water and wastewater systems while following applicable regulations, legislation, and procedures.

Term:    Full-time (permanent)

Hours:  40 hrs/week

Rate:     $27.01

Work Location: Baddeck, Ingonish, Neil’s Harbour, NS

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years experience in water and/or wastewater operations or a suitable combination of education and experience is required.
• Degree and/or diploma in a related field is preferred
• Must possess or be willing to obtain a Provincial Operator Certificates for both water and wastewater systems.
• Experience using Microsoft Office.
• Valid Nova Scotia Class 5 (or better) Driver’s License
