Hiring for Positions in Baddeck & Dingwall

Public Works Attendant: Full Time| Permanent

2 positions at the Baddeck Transfer Station, 1 position at the Dingwall Transfer Station. Applications due Friday November 12, 2021.

The successful applicants will be responsible for all duties associated with waste management operations including, but not limited to, processing of recycling material, refundables, organics and waste collection.

Term:                          Full-time; permanent

Hours:                         Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday (8:00 am – 4:00 pm)

Work Location:         Baddeck Transfer Station and/or Dingwall Transfer Station

Wage:                         $17.33/hour

Benefits:                     As per the collective agreement

Qualifications

• Knowledge of waste, recyclable and organic collection and collection programs;
• Knowledge of waste collection vehicles and equipment safety;
• Knowledge of equipment cleaning standards and procedures;
• Valid NS driver’s license
