There are eight schools in Victoria County; seven are operated by the Cape Breton-Victoria Centre for Education and one, Wagmatcookewey School on the Wagmatcook First Nation follows the Nova Scotia core curriculum, supplemented by Mi’kmaq Language, Mi’Kmaq Culture and Mi’kmaq Studies courses for all students.
