All meetings are open to the public when three or more councillors are present. Council meetings follow an agenda that will be included on the meeting event page (tap or click on a meeting to access the event page) two days prior to the meeting date. Meetings are held in Council Chambers at the Municipal Administration Building located at 495 Chebucto Street, Baddeck, NS, unless otherwise noted.
Victoria County Council hold regular sessions to discuss community issues, make decisions and set direction for the municipality. Sessions are held monthly and are livestreamed to YouTube and our Livestream webpage.
Committee of the Whole meetings provide Council members the opportunity to discuss topics more thoroughly and determine which items should move forward for action and direction during regular Council sessions.
Finance and Audit Committee meetings ensure fiscal accountability, transparency and sound financial management. At these meetings audit results are reviewed, budgets are monitored and recommendations are made to Council.

Meeting minutes are the official record of what was discussed and decided. Minutes are posted to the Committee and Council Meeting Records archive once they have been approved by council.
