Electronics Recycling Program Expanding June 1st, 2024

As of June 1st, 2024 the electronics listed below are being ADDED as part of the Electronic Product Recycling Association program at the following Municipal facilities:

  • Baddeck Transfer Station
  • Dingwall Transfer Station

Now Also Accepting:

Personal Care Appliances: Includes hair cutting and drying appliances, tooth care appliances, shavers and massagers.

Small & Full-Size Cleaning Appliances: Includes floor vacuums, carpet cleaners, robotic vacuums, handheld vacuums and stick vacuums.

Time & Weight Measurement Devices: Including alarm clocks and wall clocks, timers, bathroom scales, food scales and luggage scales.

Air-Treatment Appliances (Air Conditioners not included): Includes portable fans with plug, air purifiers, heaters, corded aromatherapy diffusers and humidifiers. Does not include air conditioners.

Countertop Appliances: Includes countertop microwave ovens, toasters, toaster ovens, fryers, hot plates, bread makers, induction cookers, pressure cookers, waffle irons, coffee makers, espresso makers and kettles, blenders, mixers, food processors, coffee grinders, juice extractors, food dehydrators and vacuum sealers. Please note built-in or over-the-range microwave ovens and microwave/range hood combinations are excluded from the program.

Garment Care Appliances: Includes irons and steam cleaners.

These items will no longer be accepted for garbage collection.
