$7.35 million in provincial funding announced for a Central Wastewater Collection System in Ingonish

Thanks to funding announced by the provincial government, a new Central Wastewater Collection System in Ingonish is one step closer to becoming a reality.

Victoria County Council has not made a decision as to the scope of the proposed project. The proposed main sewage collector line could potentially run from Cape Breton Highlands Park boundary, through Ingonish Beach and Ingonish Harbour to the Marina.

Next Steps:

Victoria County Council will be asking Ingonish property owners living in the water catchment area whether they’d be interested in connecting to the proposed main sewage line. A survey will be going out shortly to gauge those property owner’s interest.
