Councillor for District 2

Perla MacLeod, Deputy Warden

Perla MacLeod was elected Councillor of District 2 in 2016 and was elected as Deputy Warden in 2024. Deputy Warden MacLeod resides in Big Baddeck with her husband. They have three children, Mary (20), Isabella (16) and Alex (14).

Deputy Warden MacLeod works in the tourism and customer service industry in the summer months and as an Enhanced Home Visitor for the Cape Breton Family Place.

District 2
Area Description: Westside Middle River, Yankee Line and Middle River to county line. Big Baddeck including residents along the Buckwheat Road and along the north side of the TransCanada Highway from the Yankee Line Road east to the point where district two, three, and four intersect. On the south side of the TransCanada Highway from the Baddeck River Bridge east to just before 221 Shore Road.
