Councillor for District 2

Perla MacLeod, Deputy Warden

Perla MacLeod was elected Councillor of District 2 in 2016. Councillor MacLeod resides in Big Baddeck with her husband. They have three children, Mary (20), Isabella (16) and Alex (14).

Councillor MacLeod works in the tourism and customer service industry in the summer months and as an Enhanced Home Visitor for the Cape Breton Family Place.

Councillor MacLeod is the Chair of Victoria County Transit, and a committee member of the Cape Breton Local Immigration Partnership, Victoria County Home Support Services, Alderwood Rest Home and the Eastern District Planning Commission Committees.

District 2
Area Description: Westside Middle River, Yankee Line and Middle River to county line. Big Baddeck including residents along the Buckwheat Road and along the north side of the TransCanada Highway from the Yankee Line Road east to the point where district two, three, and four intersect. On the south side of the TransCanada Highway from the Baddeck River Bridge east to just before 221 Shore Road.
