Community Recreation Program offers free activities across Victoria County

The Community Recreation Program is ramping up for fall, with activities happening across the county to help keep residents active and connected.

The poster lists weekly pickleball sessions: Monday 3 to 5 p.m. at North Highland School in Aspy Bay; Tuesday 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday 6 to 8 p.m. at Rankin School of the Narrows in Iona; Wednesday 7 to 9 p.m. at Boularderie School; and Thursday 3 to 7 p.m. at North Highland School in Aspy Bay. Floor hockey sessions are listed for Monday 5 to 7 p.m. at Cape Smokey Elementary School in Ingonish and Wednesday 6 to 8 p.m. at Rankin School of the Narrows in Iona. This program offers regular recreation opportunities in community spaces across Victoria County with the help of Community Champions. Play sports or participate in games and other activities to get active, have fun and connect with others in the community. 

Drop in if you: 

  • Want to participate in activities regularly  
  • Are looking for ways to get active  
  • Want to connect with others in your community  
  • Are comfortable jumping in and giving the activity a go  

This program is free and open to participants ages 15 and up unless otherwise noted. Equipment is provided when needed.
