Support for four Cape Breton businesses enhances year-round visitor experience

Today, on World Tourism Day, Jaime Battiste, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations and Member of Parliament for Sydney-Victoria announced a total investment of $1,262,165 to support growing tourism in the community of Ingonish. The funding announced today is provided through ACOA’s Regional Economic Growth through Innovation program, Innovative Communities Fund and the Tourism Growth Program.

4 Victoria County Tourism Businesses to Receive Funding

This investment will help Cape Smokey, the Cabot Snowmobile Club, Ingonish Harbour-View Chalets, and MacKinnon House ltd. improve recreation, and accommodation options in the region, making it an even more desireable destination for visitors and helping to boost the economy all year long. Building on Victoria County’s Strategic Investment in Trail Development

Strengthening Year-Round Tourism in Victoria County

The investment strengthens Victoria County’s year-round tourism appeal, particularly during winter. By improving infrastructure, such as snowmaking and trail systems, accommodations and amenities, the region will be a prime destination, helping local businesses to successfully operate in all seasons.
