Survey runs May 29, 2024 to June 26, 2024

Today, the Municipality of Victoria County mailed out surveys to property owners residing in the water catchment area of Ingonish. The brief survey asks whether property owners are interested in connecting their property to a proposed new Central Wastewater Collection and Treatment System.

News Release:

Earlier this week, the Nova Scotia government announced it was investing up to $7.35 million in building the Central Wastewater Collection and Treatment System, pending approval and construction by the Municipality.

Prior to designing the system, Victoria County Council is surveying the level of interest among property owners who could directly benefit by connecting to a main line, to determine the size and scope of the proposed build.

The survey is non-binding and is only meant to determine the level of interest among property owners and inform Victoria County Council.

Proposed Ingonish Catchment Area

Surveys packages are being sent via Canada Post to each property owner in the catchment area, with a self-addressed, self-stamped envelope included. Only one survey is provided per Assessment Account Number (AAN).

The survey closes June 26, 2024.
