Exciting Opportunity: Engineering Technologist Wanted!

The Municipality of the County of Victoria is hiring a full-time, permanent Engineering Technologist to join our Public Works team in Baddeck, Nova Scotia. If you have a passion for engineering, a strong technical background, and are looking to make an impact in public works, we want to hear from you!

In this role, you will support the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of public works projects, prepare tender documents, inspect projects, and assist with project management. This is a great opportunity to grow in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Position Details:

  • Full-time; Permanent; Unionized
  • Rate: $42.50 per hour (per collective agreement)
  • 35 hours/week; Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

Key Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or related field
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience (government experience is a plus)
  • Certification as an Engineering Technician (CTech) or Technologist (CET) preferred
  • Valid Nova Scotia Class 5 Driver’s License
