Ross Ferry Marine Park

Date: January 1st 2026 until December 31st 2026

The Ross Ferry Marine Park is located on the scenic Bras d’Or Lake
in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Formerly Ross Ferry Provincial Park, the park is a
small community-managed, day use area with a boat launch that provides access
to the Bras d’Or Lake.

Located at the site where the former ferry travelled between Ross
Ferry and Big Harbour across the Great Bras d’Or channel until the Seal Island
Bridge opened in 1961. The Ross Ferry Stewardship Society, a volunteer based
community organization, was formed and negotiated an agreement with the
Province of Nova Scotia to create and manage the Marine Park.

Today, this vibrant community park includes picnic areas, walking
trails, wharf facilities, public boat launch, and a children’s playground in an
idyllic setting along the shores of the Bras d’Or Lake. Be sure to join us on
Canada Day and Labour Day each summer for a day of festivities in the park!

Serviced with a Park attendant from Canada Day to Labour Day each
year, join us for Sunday festivities each week; hot dogs, fries, and soft
drinks are available to purchase on Sundays throughout the summer.

Park amenities include: Boat launch, Picnic tables and covered picnic shelters, Children’s playground, Outdoor fitness gym, Walking trail, Sunday BBQs, Special events, Free public access to WiFi
