With extremely cold temperatures in the forecast, unprotected waterlines and water meters are prone to freezing.

TIPS: To help prevent freezing, insulate all waterlines, winterize outdoor taps, seal off any drafty areas where waterlines or water meters are located, and if necessary, consider leaving a tap running at a trickle to keep water flowing through the pipes.
