Public Hearing: Commercial Development District Improvement Bylaw Amendment

Victoria County Council will hold a Public Hearing on the proposed amendment to the Commercial Development District Improvement Bylaw. 

The amendment to the bylaw is the addition of a map.   

Date: Monday, September 21, 2026  
Location: Municipal Administration Building  | 495 Chebucto Street, Baddeck 
Time: 12:30 p.m. 

The purpose is to hear from the public before the bylaw goes to the Second Reading which will be held afterwards at the regular meeting of Victoria County Council. 

Written submissions will be accepted until September 17, 2026 at 2:30 p.m. for those who are unable to attend in person. They can be emailed to the Municipal Clerk at steff.macleod@victoriacounty.ca. Written submissions should pertain to the proposed amendment to the bylaw.  

The public can obtain a copy of the proposed amendment to the Commercial Development District Improvement Bylaw in person at the Municipal Administration Building between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday or it can be viewed online:

• Commercial Development District Improvement Bylaw (current bylaw)
