Seniors Safety: Making a Seat Available

Do you operate a business or public facility in Victoria County? You can help encourage senior safety in icy weather!

A message from Victoria County’s Senior Safety Program:

Many people use ice grippers to avoid falling during this time of year. When entering a business or facility, they need a place to sit so that they can adjust their footwear to prevent damaging indoor floor surfaces. We are asking businesses and other public spaces in the County to consider providing a place for patrons to sit by your entry door.

Thank you for helping to make our spaces safer to navigate this winter!
