Victoria County Municipal Indicator Report Released

The Province of Nova Scotia has released the 2023–24 Municipal Profile and Financial Condition Indicators Report for the Municipality of the County of Victoria. The report provides a snapshot of our population, finances and overall municipal health. 

Report highlights include: 

  • Population: 6,750 residents (2021 Census), an increase of 198 people since 2016 
  • Aging community: 36% of residents are aged 60 or older 
  • Household income: Median household income increased to $68,400 
  • Municipal revenue: $28.7 million in total consolidated revenue (2023–24) 
  • Financial risk: Assessed by the province as overall low risk  

Residents are encouraged to review the report to better understand the municipality’s current position and the data that helps guide future planning and decisions.
