Every year, the Municipality of the County of Victoria gives funding in the form of grants to local community groups and organizations. It’s one of the ways we celebrate the important work volunteers do to help people in our communities. These grants help grow and support projects that match our community goals and that bring people together.
This year, Victoria County is providing $331,563.26 in funding through the Municipal Grants Program.
The Municipal Grants Program follows the rules in our Municipal Grants Policy. Projects are evaluated by a group of staff members based on the evaluation criteria. The final decisions about who receives funding and the amounts awarded are made by Victoria County Council.
Development Grants are one-time grants to help fund events, programs, or projects that make our communities better! This could include things like:
Capital Grants help non-profit groups pay for big things like buying land, building or fixing a facility, or buying equipment.
Operational Grants are awarded to non-profit groups that provide services or programs that support our community—especially ones that the Municipality would usually provide or which compliment Municipal programs.
Property Tax Relief Grants help eligible non-profit organizations pay less property tax.
