2026 Charity of the Month Fundraiser Recipients Announced

When you bring your refundable beverage containers to a recycling depot you can donate the refund and support a local charitable organization.

Each year, charitable and non-profit organizations in Victoria County can apply to take part in the Charity of the Month Fundraiser. Groups selected through this program receive the refund proceeds from donated beverage containers collected at our recycling depots during their assigned month.

How the program works

  • Charitable groups apply each December to participate in the Charity of the Month Fundraiser.
  • Groups are selected by random draw and assigned a month in the following calendar year.
  • Throughout that month, residents can support the selected group by donating their refundable beverage container refunds at a recycling depot.
  • All donated refund proceeds collected during the assigned month go directly to the featured community group.

The following non-profit community groups have been selected by random draw to receive refund donations at the Jim Bradley Recycling Depot (Baddeck) and the New Haven Recycling Depot.
