Lightbulbs can now be recycled!

As of August 1st, 2024, you can now bring your lightbulbs to the Jim Bradley Recycling Depot or Dingwall Transfer Station for recycling, rather than disposal.

There are a variety of lightbulbs that can be recycled, but it’s important to note which bulbs cannot be recycled. Our facilities will accept bulbs from both residents and businesses.

Accepted:

  • Fluorescent tubes
  • Halogen and incandescent bulbs
  • LEDs
  • UV and germicidal bulbs
  • Miniature bulbs
  • High-intensity discharge (HID) and special purpose bulbs

Not Accepted:

  • Bike lights
  • Ceiling fixtures
  • Chandeliers
  • Flashlights
  • Floor lamps
  • Lights strings (e.g. Christmas lights)
  • Outdoor fixtures
  • Recessed/pot lights
