Tim Donovan was elected Councillor for District 6 in 2024. Councillor Donovan is a general contractor for C.C. Pepper Contracting Inc. operating from Halifax in residential, commercial and industrial construction. Councillor Donovan returned to Cape Breton in 2021 and is now semi-retired.
Councillor Donovan lives in Ingonish with his wife of 12 years, Joan, and has two adult children from his previous marriage.
Councillor Donovan volunteers as president of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 105 as well as with Ingonish Sports and Recreation and the Centre for Continuing Education.
