Important Safety Reminder: Propane Tank Disposal

Posted on:
October 6, 2025

We have noticed propane tanks being hidden within our scrap metal piles, disposed of directly in our waste trailers, or even mixed in with garbage on the tipping floor.

Please note the following:

  • Residential propane tanks are accepted at our site.
  • You must inform an attendant upon arrival if you are bringing a propane tank.
  • Our staff will direct you to the proper drop-off location.

Hiding propane tanks in other materials creates a serious safety hazard. If punctured by equipment, these tanks can cause fire, explosion, or severe injury to our staff and community.

Proper disposal is not optional, it is a matter of safety. Please do your part.

Thank you for your cooperation.
