Recycling Just Got Easier in the North!

In Victoria County, knowing which facility to visit can save you time and an extra trip!

In Baddeck, the Jim Bradley Recycling Depot is located at the Baddeck Waste Management Facility, making it a convenient one-stop shop for waste disposal and recycling.

North of Smokey, however, waste disposal and recycling happen at two separate locations: the Dingwall Transfer Station and the New Haven Recycling Depot. Not all materials are accepted at both sites, so it’s important to check where your items belong before heading out.

To make recycling more convenient for residents in the North, the New Haven Recycling Depot will now accept paint and fluorescent lightbulbs! These additions give residents more options to recycle locally without having to make the trip to the Dingwall facility for these materials.

The New Haven Recycling Depot also accepts refundable beverage containers, clothing and textiles, batteries, aerosol containers, flexible plastics and foam packaging.

A little planning goes a long way! Check which location accepts your materials before loading up the car and take advantage of the recycling options available in your community.
