Have you thought about getting more involved in your community? This could be your opportunity.
Victoria County is extending the application deadline for community members interested in serving on its Housing Committee and Planning Advisory Committee.
The new deadline to apply is October 23, 2026.
We are looking for up to four full-time residents for each committee. While applications have been received, we still need more community members to come forward.
You don’t need to be a municipal expert or have served on a committee before.
We are looking for residents who have knowledge, experience, ideas or simply an interest in helping shape the future of Victoria County.
Both committees benefit from having members with different backgrounds, perspectives and experiences.
Maybe you have professional experience in construction, planning, real estate, community development, economic development or another related field.
Or maybe you simply care deeply about your community and want to contribute.
There’s a place for both.
You may know someone who would be a great addition to one of these committees.
Think about your neighbours, friends, family members, colleagues or community contacts. If someone comes to mind, share this opportunity with them and encourage them to apply.
Sometimes all it takes is someone saying, “You should do this.”
Interested residents can submit a brief letter of interest outlining their background, experience and reasons for wanting to serve.
Applications should be submitted to:
