The following are the current program and partnerships that support tourism businesses and organizations that are based on Victoria County.

Tourism Advocacy & Alignment programs

Tourism Regional Area Branding & Digital Support

This program is intended to assist regional community and business development groups with support for project costs related to regional destination branding and digital presence. Costs such as destination brand design, brand specific signage, regional destination website design and building, and digital strategy development are examples of the projects this program can assist with. Tourism Capacity Building Programs

Tourism Experiential Development Support

As tourism trends continue to shift due to demographic and traveler types shifting, Experiential Tourism Development is key in meeting visitor expectations and maintaining a sustainable tourism economy. For this reason, Victoria County will work to assist tourism focused businesses and organizations in developing quality experiences that will result in visitors staying longer and spending more money while here.

Assistance in this program could include initial experience idea development, consultation in experience program development, experience evaluation and recommendation support as well as many other areas in helping to build a sustainable and quality visitor experience.

Tourism Training Support

With Cape Breton Island being one of the best tourism destinations in Canada, a variety of types of travellers visit us and each have their own expectations when it comes to service and hospitality. Due to this it is important to maintain a high level of customer service skills in our frontline workforce within the tourism industry.

This program will assist in connecting your tourism business or organization with relevant and valuable training programs and resources to improve the overall level of customer service in Cape Breton.
