A variety of local non-profit community groups have been selected by random draw to be recipients for refund donations at the Jim Bradly Recycling Depot (Baddeck) and the New Haven Recycling Depot in 2025. Waste collection has been cancelled for Monday, January 6th, 2025 for residents of Ross Ferry, Kempt Head, South Side Boularderie, Big Bras d’Or, New Campbellton, Cape Dauphin, New Harris, Englishtown, South Haven, Big Harbour and Port Bevis, due to weather conditions. Material will be collected your next regularly scheduled day.

Public Hearing & Second Reading
Final draft documents have gone through Council First Reading. At the Second Reading, council voted to delay approval of the documents until after the municipal election, with the understanding that the process needs to conclude by the provincial deadline in December 2024.
