Was your household taxable income under $35,000* in 2023?

Don’t wait to apply for a reduction in your property taxes. Qualified applicants will receive a credit applied directly to their tax account up to $300.00. If annual taxes are less than $300.00, the credit applied will be for the lesser amount.

*Calculation is based on the combined values of line 260 from the 2023 CRA Notice of Assessment of each member in the household

How to Apply:

  1. Gather copies of the 2023 Notice of Assessments (from the Canada Revenue Agency) for each member in your household (required) and your Municipal Tax Account Number (listed on your tax bill).
  2. Print and fill out the MUNICIPAL TAX EXEMPTION APPLICATION FORM – FISCAL 2024/25 (you can also pick up a copy at the Municipal Building, the address is provided below).
  3. Submit the completed form along with copies of your Notice of Assessments to the Municipality either in person, via mail, or as scanned email attachments to countytax@victoriacounty.ca.
