Share the Story! Book Swap

Got a book sitting on your shelf that you’ve already read, probably won’t read again, but just can’t bring yourself to toss?

Don’t let a good story end there!

As part of Waste Reduction Week 2026, we’re teaming up with two local businesses to host TWO community book swaps! We’ll be setting up at Salty Rose’s And The Periwinkle Cafe and the Herring Choker Deli for an afternoon of books, browsing, and sharing.

The idea is simple: bring a book, take a book, and keep the stories moving!

And if you don’t have a book to swap, no worries! You’re still welcome to come browse and see if a new-to-you story catches your eye.
