Join us at the Victoria County Municipal Building on Monday, May 5th at 10:45AM as we raise the Gaelic flag and mark the start of Gaelic Nova Scotia Month, celebrating the vibrant culture that we see throughout communities in Victoria County.

Victoria County Council will meet for Regular Council Session at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 5th. This meeting will be livestreamed. Council will also be meeting for Committee of the Whole at 2:00 p.m. The meetings will be held in Council Chambers at the Municipal Building (495 Chebucto Street) in Baddeck. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend meetings of council.

The Municipality of the County of Victoria will hold a Public Meeting on Tuesday, May 14, 2025, at 6:00 PM at the North Shore Fire Hall (46177 Cabot Trail). The purpose of the meeting is to inform residents about the proposed sale of municipal property to the North Shore and District Volunteer Fire Department. Service Notice: Residents in Dingwall on Dingwall Road east of Mountainview Road may notice reduced water pressure or a disruption in water service on Thursday, May 1st, for a short period beginning after 8:30 a.m. as Victoria County Water Utility crews work on the water system. The Municipality of the County of Victoria is committed to Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA). We’re forming a new committee to help guide our staff and council—and we need your input!
By sharing your experiences and insights in our IDEA Engagement Survey, you’ll help shape a plan that makes Victoria County a more welcoming and inclusive place to live and work.
The engagement survey intends to gather feedback from people who live and/or work in Victoria County. This feedback will be shared with the IDEA Committee to help build the municipality’s IDEA plan and guide ongoing work.
